Innovation doesn’t always have to be complex; sometimes, the most effective solutions are the simplest ones. Its just a matter of bucking up and doing it.

Earlier today, Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Blinkit, Albinder Dhindsa , announced that along with all other electronics, that they deliver in a few mins (along with almost everything found in a general store), they can now deliver a INR 50k+ PS5 too!

So basically you can order some coffee and cookies and yeah apparently a PS5!

Why is this significant?

Lets see :

What is the current e-commerce shopper’s, only pending wish? — Its for the higher ATP band items to also get delivered, in ten mins. Its about creating acceptance for the phenomenon that the next time they buy a phone or a tablet, they get it in ten mins. Even with accelerated e-commerce delivery, currently it will at least take a day right?

What did Blinkit do? — Boldly break that barrier. Cause, Why NOT? Its really that simple. Why not? The resources are there, the supply chain is there. Its just about execution > overthinking.

What does this mean on a macro scale? — Expect further breaking of unspoken barriers. What if next time you buy a phone, instead of ordering it and waiting till the next day, you could just order it like ordering a snack?

Whats next? — A tectonic shift in consumers wanting more and more high ticket items, in the ‘blink’ of an eye maybe? 😉
